Tanya Kelley is from Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from college she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. There, she attended law school, became a criminal defense attorney and then life took her from California to Florida, and now Texas all along the way practicing criminal defense for a total of twenty-five years. She lives with her husband and daughter, and they have a wonderful blended family. She is currently working on her memoir and a YA novel.

I first met Heather when I signed up for a YA class she was teaching. I knew I wanted to work with her further because she was an amazing instructor. She gave interesting craft lessons as well as tools for the heart and mind to bring out the best writer you could be.
During our work together we worked on my work in progress, my memoir. She helped me get grounded, then she took me on a deep dive into where I needed to go. By working with Heather I had a better understanding of the story I needed to tell....It truly was amazing working with her, and I plan to work with her again once my manuscript is complete.
