Deborah Crossland (she/her) is the author of The Quiet Part out Loud (Simon & Schuster 2023) and teaches English and mythology at her local community college. She has a PhD in myth and depth psychology and writes myth-based, contemporary novels for young adults. She is also a founding board member of the 501c3 non-profit, Fernweh Collective, which focuses on cultural education through experiential learning. She lives in Northern California with her husband and her daughter's very spoiled, retired service dog.
