Through our season together, Heather guided me to incorporate my writing and creativity into my daily life. To see it as an essential part of who I am, not something that only comes once in a while when the muse so wills it.  She showed me that I'm a creative person, a writer, always. It was paradigm changing.

Working with Heather also felt nourishing and stabilizing. It was a really turbulent time in my personal life, but Heather was there to provide support and to teach me how to navigate these different seasons in the kindest way for my creativity.

Heather tailored every email, every message, and every call to me and to where I found myself.

She gave me readings, book recommendations, and exercises that strengthened my craft; quotes and practices – including meditation - that strengthened my sense-of-self; and engaged me in many conversations that strengthened my creative mind.

Like an archeologist, she helped me to dig out and discover my writing process. And then, like the most astute strategist, she showed me how to leverage my process to my story's benefit.

I started my work with Heather with many plans, some of which came true – like believing I'm a writer, and some of which didn't - like finishing my manuscript's revision.

But what I took away was more important: confidence in my identity as a writer and a toolkit that I carry with me forevermore, to any writing project, to my life.
