Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month Events (all February!)
February is teen dating violence awareness month
The subject of TDV is close to my heart. So close, in fact, that I wrote a whole book about it. As a survivor of TDV myself, I'm comitted to telling my story and helping others tell theirs. It's never to late to choose you. For the month of February, I'll be doing a lot of events, both online and IRL, to get the word out about TDV. If you're interested in having a Skype visit with your classroom or organization or would like a resource guide and a copy of the short story that launched Bad Romance, please contact me via my contacts page. I'd love to talk to your teens. Please check out my TDV resource page if you or someone you know needs help.
I'll be taking over the Day One blog for the whole month. Day One's an organization comitted to helping teens struggling with TDV. They're based in NYC, but help teens all over the country. I'll be talking about all things TDV, specifically about how to talk to your parents (or parents talk to their teens) about their relationships. This is such tricky territory, and I (sadly) have a lot of experience with it. I'll be posting once a week and I'll share the posts once they're live. Feel free to contact me on my contacts page if there's anything you'd love for me to address.

I'll also be doing a special Bad Romance giveaway - sign up for my newsletter to stay tuned for that!
